OCTOBER 3, 2008 JIM BERTOLINO

Jim Bertolino, acclaimed and award winning poet has been publishing for nearly 40 years. He is a teacher, poet and visionary. He lives in Bellingham, Washington.

OCTOBER 10, 2008 CHARLIE MOUNTFORD

Charlie Mountford, Stratford Ontario poet, has published two books of poetry. Di Brant, says of his work:" Here is wit, sly, gentle, tender cunning. His poems twist the ordinary in the unexpected directions, streaking the contemporary postindustrial landscape with flashes of light, laughter, heartbreak."

Barbara Pelman celebrates her birthday and the publication of her second book of poetry, Borrowed Rooms from Ronsdale Press.

OCTOBER 24, 2008 THOMAS TROFIMUK & TAYLOR LEEDAHL

Thomas Trofimuk, Edmonton poet and novelist has published two novels, 52nd Poem, Alberta novel of the year, and Doubting Yourself to the Bone, one of the Globe and Mail's 100 must read books. His latest novel Columbus at 4 am will be published by M & S in Canada, Doubleday in the US in 2009.

Taylor Leedahl, Saskatoon poet, host of the reading series, Tonight It's Poetry, will read from her first book of poetry from Thistledown, No Apologies for Weather.

OCTOBER 31, 2008 PAM PORTER AND ZOE LANDALE

Pam Porter, Governor General Award Winner, reads from her latest book of poetry from Backwaters Press, The Intelligence of Animals.

Zoe Landale, poet and novelist, reads from her latest book of poetry, Once a murderer, from Wolsak and Wynn, based on her experiences accompanying RCMP officers on patrol duty in Vancouver.
