SEPTEMBER 19, 2008
Planet Earth Poetry begins the season with a favourite poem night fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders . Everyone reads a favourite poem. Great gifts from Prairie Naturals and AbeBooks, and musical entertainment by the Brandleburglers, who were one of the highlights of last season.

CARLA FUNK, Victoria's Poet Laureate, and UVic Creative Writing Instructor, reads new work and from her latest book The Sewing Room.
MITCH PARRY, UVic Film Studies instructor, reads from his new book, Imperfect Penance.
