Planet Earth Poetry's Outstanding October Calendar ( and a month for poet laureates)!

OCTOBER 5, 2007: JOHN STEFFLER
, Canada's Poet Laureate, author of many books of poetry, reads for the first time in Victoria.
We acknowledge the support of the League of Canadian Poets and the Canada Council for the Arts.


OCTOBER 12, 2007: LORNA CROZIER, ELIZABETH PHILLIPS & MARY DALTON

LORNA CROZIER, Chairman of UVic's Writing Department, reads from her new book Blue Hour of the Day, her selected poems.

ELIZABETH PHILLIPS, Saskatoon poet, former poetry editor of Grain, reads from her new book of poetry, Torch River.

Newfoundland poet, MARY DALTON, reads from her latest book, Red Ledger.

OCTOBER 19,2007: ARLEEN PARE & DAVID FRASER

ARLEEN PARE reads from her first book of poetry, Paper Trail.

Nanaimo Poet, DAVID FRASER, founder of Ascent Aspirations, reads from his book of poetry, Running down the wind.

OCTOBER 26,2007: CARLA FUNK & ELIZABETH BACHINSKY


CARLA FUNK, Victoria's Poet Laureate, reads from her latest book , The Sewing Room.

Vancouver poet, ELIZABETH BACHINSKY, poetry editor for Event, reads from her lastest book of poetry, Home of Sudden Service.
